Astrology Meaning: Hufflepuff Ariens have an extreme abundance of energy; however, the usual Hufflepuff tendency to work hard out of duty is modified by the Aries tendency to value play over work. Therefore, expect long periods of playfulness and seeming indolence punctuated by brief, manic bursts of industry. These Hufflepuffs may also be more ambitious and socially aggressive than average, making them clear leaders in their House. Their emotional warmth, open hearts, madcap sense of humour, and quirky independence will endear them to many people, but their naivete makes for easy exploitation by more ruthless sorts of people.

Personality In General: Theodore, on first appearances, is exactly what you might expect from an only child that is the result of an arranged marriage between two of the wealthiest families in Britain. He's sure of himself, seeing as he's never had any reason to doubt his lifestyle or his motives, but he's not cocky nor is he prideful. Theodore is of the opinion that he was born into this family who has what most would consider perks, but he notices the consequences of living around such close-minded people far more often. Assumptions, as Theo refers to them, are what has brought wizards to war with each other so often, and if people care to make them about him, so be it, but he doesn't advise that you expect any retaliation.

It's near to impossible to get a rise out of him, and you're much likelier to be turned into a complete fool if you try anything. Theo finds no need for physical fights or raising his voice; he can reduce someone to tears with a few words and that's the end of it. He most likely won't stick around to hear their pitiful comebacks.

To call him sarcastic would be a bit of an understatement. Sardonic, though - definitely more suiting. His responses often leave a person laughing nervously, trying to act like they're totally cool with what he said but on the inside they're hoping to just disappear. He'll respond with such biting remarks and leave you standing there like a fool. Acidic as his words may sometimes be, he'll never raise his voice with them or sound threatening - it's almost as if he can kill with his words but make them sound like a love letter in tone.

He's been referred to as "private" by some of his friends, but in his mind that is a little misleading. Unlike many of his friends Theodore won't go out of his way to make sure that everyone knows about him and what he's doing, rather he'll wait for them to approach him and ask. He's not about showing himself off to the world, whether it be at work, home, or out on the town. He's not private; he has no walls to break down, he just isn't an open book - one has to do at least a little work to get what they want.

Cynically disdainful to an extreme, Theo doesn't trust the opinions of others and usually not their knowledge either. While he most often knows the correct way to do something or the right answer anyway, if he didn't then another person's logic would still likely be doubted. Even when people are trying to understand something and ask him for help, he'll either do it with much reluctance or refuse and tell them to figure it out on their own.

He usually judges a person by the amount of knowledge that they hold, but he has been known to look further into someone to determine whether or not he'll respect them. Being omniscient in nearly all subjects leads someone to think of the world in a certain way, and it also tends to make him more of a hard-exterior than what most are used to. He sees facts and careers and lifestyles, but rarely does he understand the emotions of others. Theo knows that they're a tricky thing, because that's what he's read, but also because deep down he's just as soft and needy as the rest of us, having been denied of a proper childhood and setting himself apart from the other students during school.
